Training Opportunity in Rapid Assessment of
Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services of Wetlands
The National Institute of Ecology, New Delhi, is now implementing a project on Capacity Building for Conservation of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services of Wetlands in Relation to Global Change, funded by the Asia ‐Pacific Network for Global Change Research, Japan for the period July 2014 to June 2015. The Project will run three capacity building workshops in Kolkata, Guwahati and Kathmandu during February to March 2015.

A related activity of this project is the development of an online database of individuals and institutions engaged with or interested in wetlands (including lakes and rivers) throughout tropical Asia. The database will facilitate exchange of information. interested individuals can register and join the database from the homepage of this site (www.aquaticecosystems.org/database/)
